Tondoor Smokehouse began as a dream shaped by persistence, sacrifice, and years of experience in hospitality. After spending more than two decades in hospitality — around 23 to 25 years serving guests, learning operations, leading teams, and understanding what makes people feel welcome — the founders decided it was time to build something of their own.

For Madhu Gyawali and Bibek Kunwar, Tondoor is more than a restaurant. It is a fresh start, a personal milestone, and a place to prove what long-term dedication, resilience, and genuine hospitality can create. Their goal is simple: serve bold Indian and Nepali flavors with warmth, consistency, and pride.

Every dish reflects that journey — from comforting momo and curries to smoky tondoor specialties — all brought together in a place they hope the Tyler community can truly enjoy.
